Photographs for the college magazine

PHOTOGRAPHS:
for my college magazine practice.


In a group of 4 we produced flat plans for a front cover and a contents page for a college magazine. we had to go out and take original photographs of what would be on the cover of a college magazine, when deciding how to do it we considered, props, costumes and miseen scene. 

These are some examples of the photographs we have taken as a group and could be possibilities to use on our front cover. We decided to use the library as we considered that it should show of the facilitates that the college has. we used props of text books and pens this means that it fits the conventions of a college magazine. We took a lot of photographs some were more successful than others because of lighting and facial expressions. We finally made a decision and chose the one we thought would fit the most conventions and also look the most aesthetically pleasing. 

In the end this is the photograph that we decided on because we thought it fitted the most conventions of a college magazine main image, furthermore the lighting on this photograph is much better than the others. This photograph shows different aspects of college life.
