Recce

The Recce
Are there any potential hazards that could pose a health and safety risk where your photo shoot will take place (trailing cables/traffic/other objects )?
I am between 2 places in which to chose whether it be a brick wall or in Barnes park they still could be safety dangers that I need to be aware of. there may be a road near by with a lot of busy traffic. to ensure that I am safe from any road hazards I will make sure my location is as far away from busy streets as possible. Furthermore for my magazine I require costume therefore I will ensure that it is as comfortable and as safe as possible for the model.

Will the time of day/weather affect the outcome of the photos? Have you allowed for this? I would hope it would be a bright and sunny day for my photo-shoot, because the images would come out better and look more aesthetically pleasing with the lighting. however if the weather was bad I would still take my images but if it was a darker day I would use Photoshop to edit my images and make them brighter and more attractive.

Have you considered the background to your photos, particularly if taken outside? How will you ensure you will get the background you want? I have chosen 2 places one in I can attain anywhere because there are a lot of brick walls I think this would fit in with the genre of my magazine better. the other option is to use a forest background such as trees or a lake in Barnes park this is a public area so should be easy to get photographs however due to the fact it is public may mean the me-seen may not be correct.

Do you need permission to take photos in the place/venue you have in mind?
No I do not require permission. Both of my chosen places are public and free to use.

Do you need to book time in a room (eg the photography studio at Shiney)?
No, both of my locations are free to use and outside.

Are other people/crowds likely to be an issue for you? What have you done to ensure that it will not spoil the effect?
This may be a problem for me because they are both public areas however I will keep trying to take my shot until it is perfect and nobody is in the background.

Are you reliant on lifts/props/friends’ equipment/models? How have you planned that these things will come together at the appointed time? Plan B?
I am relying on a couple of my friends to be models for this photo-shoot however if they do decline then I will have to be in the images my self. I may need some props such as a guitar or a mike which I own both my self so that shouldn't be a problem.
